Located on E. Fuson Road (about 12 minutes from Ball State’s campus) is a local brewery that encapsulates the relaxing feeling of taking a break with every sip. Northern Tropics Brewing marries the idea of vacation time with hearty, locally made beer. They pride themselves on giving to the community what the community gives them- a safe space.

Perhaps you’re looking for something tropical that isn’t beer- don’t worry! Northern Tropics Brewing also offers a greenhouse experience unlike anything else in Muncie. Walk through the glasshouse and take in the tropical environment. Trade in your worries of the day for a nice walk through some of Muncie’s most beautiful greenery. Beautiful plants are for sale as well there! Further details can be found by calling 765-289-2929 or visiting https://northerntropics8.wixsite.com/my-site.

We have to talk about the drinks offered here! Amazing and aesthetic environment is key for a great bar, but the drinks offered are truly what make Northern Tropics Brewing an amazing one. They have a wide variety that swaps out from time-to-time. Their lineup currently contains tropical favorites like Pineapple Crush and Coastal Breeze. Their take on a pilsner (the Palm Tree Pilsner) is another favorite that goes down incredibly smoothly! The variety here allows for you as a new consumer to find something that works for you. That way, when you come in, owner Ted can already have your glass waiting.

We couldn’t recommend this local brewery, even if we tried. Head to Northern Tropics Brewing today and remember, drink responsibly!
